ACIP has been hijacked by MAHA, and we still don't have CDC Director....

Today was a dark day for public health. One day after all 17 members of the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) were wrongfully fired, HHS Secretary, RFK Jr. tapped 8 new members for the Committee—several of whom are known anti-vaccine contrarians, guilty of spreading dangerous misinformation throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and beyond.

At best these people are unqualified for the job. At worst, they will sabotage the June ACIP meeting and make the future of vaccine access and availability in the United States even more uncertain. Dr. Lauren Hughes, and Dr. Anita Patel and I decided to download and publish the 2024 CDC Pediatric Vaccine Schedules on Instagram. These are approved and recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Unfortunately, the 2025 Schedules have already been revised to reflect the not-evidence-based wishes of RFK Jr. and Dr. Marty Makary.

The most notable differences are the changes to guidance on COVID-19 and HPV vaccinations for children.
